Some of you may remember "Teddy", a beautiful Collie dog that watched over the shelter for many years.  As the shelter mascot, Teddy greeted visitors, entertained children, consoled new frightened animals and epitomized the wonder and nobility of companion animals.  This portrait of Teddy hangs in our lobby in memory of this very special dog.

But whether you remember Teddy or not, you'll be happy to know that we've started a new sponsorship program - Teddy's Angels - to honor his kind and caring nature.

When you become one of "Teddy's Angels", you continue the work this wonderful dog began over 25 years ago.  As one of Teddy's Angels, you can sponsor an individual pet for $25 a month or $250 a year.  Sponsors may choose a pet from our website, Pet Parade, or by visiting the shelter.  Shelter staff can also assign a pet if you wish.  Your sponsorship provides food and care for your chosen dog or cat.

As a Teddy's Angels sponsor, you'll receive a picture of your pet as well as a certificate of sponsorship.  When the animal is adopted, you'll be notified.

Any monies remaining toward your sponsorship will help care for other needy animals.  This special program allows your donation to be personal and to carry on the spirit of goodwill that Teddy offered all our visitors.
